Walked a mile today

It is only a month ago that I walked round the complex of apartments where I live.  Today I have been round three times and down the hill to the Spar shop as well.  I don’t really know how far I have walked but I am sure it must add up to a mile or more. Of course I am walking very slowly and as I get near home again my legs are very unsteady and I feel as though I am a bit drunk.  Even my arms feel sore – something to do with the nerve signals not communicating properly.  My hands start to feel numb too.  Never mind, I am making good progress now and that is all that matters. It is a bit galling when your upstairs neighbours, in their 70s, are setting off down the road with their grand-daughter in the buggy and all I can do is collapse back into my bed for a rest.
