Campaign to be in Scottish press on Monday

The Daily Record interviewed me before Christmas and my photo was taken.  The journalist has kept in touch and an article should be published on Monday.  She is taking the subject very seriously.  She has interviewed our Cabinet Secretary for Health.  The campaign is to be featured on the front page with a two page spread inside.  She is already talking about a follow up article.  I am feeling very nervous as I don’t know what will be written.  I can only hope for the best.  It will cover antidepressants as well as benzodiazepines which is good.  The recent Chief Medical Officer’s report calling for less prescribing and the very recent British Medical Journal paper on the increased suicide risk for teenagers on antidepressants have highlighted the broader issues.  It will be interesting to see if there is a response from the public to the Daily Record article.  I can’t really continue with a campaign without some broader public support.

You have already done such a lot to get the information out. Here’s hoping the article is a good one and it gets more people talking. Can you send me a link when it is published so I can read it please ?

I will send you a link if it is in the online version. Will be later in the week now because Terry Wogan has died. I did like him so don’t mind having to wait a bit longer. xxx
